Libra's are often considered the sign of balance. After all, we are famed with entering the time of the year when both day and night are at an equal length thus the balance of time. In nature, we are constantly seeking balance and harmony, but our greatest fault is indecision. Of course, we have wonderful traits as well such as being sociable, cheerful, charming and creative.
It is the indecision part that I struggle with.
Indecisions such as:
- Do I get on the bathroom scale today?
- Do I eat that piece of Gooey Pecan Bar that I swear was calling my name?
- Do I get up early and blow the dust off the treadmill and walk on it?
Recently, I wrestled with a minor indecision with regards to something that has taken up space in my garage. Ironically, it's a scale!
Oddly, I have no recollection of how I got this scale. I have no clue if I bought it or if it was given to me. I even thought about selling it recently, but something made me pass it up and let it rest on the shelf. That was until this past weekend when I decided it was time that it served some other purpose.
Cleaning years of dust off the thing was no easy chore but finally I have gotten it as clean as it will come and have changed its location three times in my house before I was finally content as to its show place. While it may not be the show piece in my home, it has some sentimental value as it's old. Old things I've realized have a special place in my heart nowadays - maybe because I feel myself growing old and don't want to be tossed in a corner to collect dust?
Being of the Libra sign, I of course was creative with my scale, as I've balanced out whether or not I should keep it and where to put it.. Thus, "I Balanced!"
