With that I took my camera and went on a walk through my yard. Take my hand and come with me as I show you what I found..
At first I was happy with the moss that was showing new life.. I would imagine that if I were a bug, I'd love to rub my back against this soft looking moss..
New leaves on my strawberry plants!
I can even get excited about the minuet flowers starting to swell on pachysandra.
Autumn Joy Sedum showing signs of joy..
Naturalized daffodils by the woods edge. Gotta love surprises!
One of the hundreds of garlic cloves I planted last fall.. Oh water, please drain quick!
Can you help me turn my compost? This pile was two times the height late fall.
Fancy meeting you here Mr. Worm.. Do you like my compost pile?
Clearly the three feet of snow on top of my Variegated Hydrangea
had an insulating effect!
A babbling brook or water run off? Let's stand here a minute,
close our eyes and dream..
Can you hear the water?
Remnants of a birds nest in the midst..
Did you enjoy the walk with me?
Come back in May and we'll have a glass of sweet tea..
Can you see what I'm doing now?

Sure signs of spring there.
ReplyDeleteAhhh, I can rest my merry soul up here! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the walk, it was very relaxing till I woke up. We had a mild winter but this last week it was snowing nonstop , so it's a long walk for me to see new life growing.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely walk with signs of the approaching Spring everywhere. I can understand your excitement as that time of year gets closer.
ReplyDeleteFor us, here in the north of Oz, we're excited that our Autumn is almost here. Autumn through to mid-Spring is the best time of year in our gardens ... and after the horrid Summer we've just had, we're all looking forward to the next few months.
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and for becoming my latest follower ... it's much appreciated. I shall be stopping by again very soon to catch up.
I hope you don't get a cold snap like we do here, the plants get fooled by the warm weather, and then the cold snap ruins them.
ReplyDeleteYou did great job welcoming the buds.
You have a lot going on in your yard...I hope my hydrangeas made it through our cold winter.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!!
Gostei muito do passeio! Espero que a primavera pinte tudo com cores lindas e perfumadas!
