Is Mother Nature Mad?

I'm trying to figure out if Mother Nature is mad or something? Last night was such an odd mixture of weather.. snow, rain, sleet, ice, thunder & lightening! Is she confused? Is she mad? Is she disappointed? Did "Father Time" not finish his "Honey Do" list?

I know snow is a great insulator, but our poor spring flowers are shivering.. The leaves are frozen, snow is bending the branches, the grass is cowering! Are we to not have a spring where everything is bright and thrilling?

I want to turn on the water in my outdoor shower! But with snow on the door I might as well be an Eskimo!

Maybe if I close my eyes real tight and wish upon a star, Mother Nature will hear me and return with Spring!

Would you like to join me in this wish?

  1. I think mother nature is just a little unbalanced..as we have been treating her more like a theme park than a garden..fingers crossed she finds the SPRING in her step again ;) x

  7. Leslie,
    Congrats on the featured spot!
We've been having beautiful spring weather. Our problem is the wildfires that have already started. The Denver area has been so dry and today a fire started in Douglas County. Also, we have been experiencing terrible winds which makes fighting the fire almost impossible.

  8. What a great post.
While I have to believe in the generosity of Mother Nature, all mothers have their breaking point and need time to regroup. I am thinking now is that time. We have to wait and learn to acknowledge her superiority and express our gratitude for all she does for us. I am sure spring will arrive...eventually and perhaps only briefly.
