- This week I realized that I am maturing and becoming a woman. Yes, the onset of repeated hot flashes has started. Don't anyone strike a match near me, I'll burn up like a piece of paper!
- A slice of good news this week... We are actually getting a Tax REFUND! For the past couple of years we've had to cough up a lung or two to Uncle Sam, but after adjusting our deductions, we are getting some of Uncle Sam's coins back.
- While at work this week I received a phone call from a customer who bought a large holly last year and concerned about the look of her holly looking dead. Because I'm the Sales & Customer Service Manager at my garden center it was my job to explain that during winter, hollies can take a beating during winter, especially newly planted ones. I explained what will happen, and what to expect and if it did not look better by mid-May to please give me a call back. With that, I received the nicest compliment from this customer thanking me for so much information and comfort. It's these kinds of phone calls that put a sparkle in my day.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

I know all so well about hot flashes! They're uncomfortable, but it does have an ending to it..Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteI have had my hotflashes when I went into menopause 7 yrs ago. Then they went away.
ReplyDeletebut I also was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and the meds that I am on brought them back! With a vengence! We had a little heat wave yesterday and we heat with a wood stove. I had all the windows open, ceiling fans going and stripping throughout the house! I hate them!
Hey girl, this Ozark Farm Chick has tried a multitude of product. I find the ones ya discover that will work for you do until your body overrides it. The 'natural' product that worked for me a full year and I'm tellin' ya after the first two pills the hot flashes stopped and I began sleepin' through the night. This worked for me almost a full year.

Actually you probably gave Uncle Sam too much money that year and he has to give some back interest free...complex system we have here. You're so sweet to pass on your gardening knowledge to your neighbors. Hope your personal summer eases soon.
ReplyDeleteHi Leslie.
ReplyDeleteHot flashes.....Yuk....they still appear their ugly head at me every once in awhile. I have a hard time with customer relations....dealing with insurance & docs and patients & some just don't know what they R giving their good $s to the insurance companies 4. Very frustrating. Congrats on the nice letter. I've yet to get one. Maybe I could learn from U.

I discovered that eliminating caffeine reduced my hot flashes to nearly non-existent! Of course that was when I was much younger. No hot flashes now at age 66!
