Several weeks ago Tranquil Acres of Alexandria decided to return to Flemington, NJ and visit Bee Happy Honey House. I can remember going to this store years and years ago and was always endeared by the charming log cabin like building.
Upon revisiting Bee Happy Honey House I realized that the store had changed some since the first time I'd visited but still though, what I found inside was very special and worth writing about because basically everything in the store is either homemade or handmade.
I was greeted by Elaine who is the main proprietor of Bee Happy Honey House. While the building is privately owned, there are several treasures inside representing three other businesses!
First, let's visit Just Favors, LLC by Elaine:
Just Favors, LLC is owned by Elaine. She opened her store in Flemington in July, 2010 after losing her job of 27 years. Her main business is making chocolate for every special occasion which includes birthdays ~ weddings ~ baby and bridal showers and holidays. Each of her candies are uniquely crafted and made with love. After making candy for over 30 years for family and friends, her hobby became her passion which ultimately became her business. If you're shopping in downtown Flemington and have an urge for a sweet, look no further as Elaine has chocolates of every flavor!
Besides her vast array of colorful and fun chocolates, Elaine also has another special craft of making handmade blankets, scarves, afghans, baby blankets, hats and more.
Feel like a little homemade jam? Inside Honey Bee Happy House you'll find a wonderful selection of delicious, homemade jams by Jams by Kim. Sharing space inside Honey Bee Happy House is a handsome display of jams that you can test and enjoy.

You won't find any mass produced jars of regular jelly or jam here, as they're only made in small batches using locally grown fruits and berries by Kim Osterhoudt. I am thoroughly enjoying the jar of Blueberry & Lemon I purchased!

It was definitely a pleasure surprising Elaine with my visit and learning about all the unique gifts that this store has to offer. I also enjoyed talking with Elaine and realized that when you have a passion and a dream, it is possible to make that dream come true just like Elaine did. When asked what her favorite part of her business is, Elaine was quick to answer with her joy of meeting new customers and those that return time and time again depending on finding that 'just so' gift.
